Injured Severely, But Pictures Don’t Show

You know how they say don’t judge a book by its cover?

Well it is possible that this saying can apply for car accidents.

Although the damage might not show in pictures, you could still be heavily injured from the car accident.

It all depends on the angle that you get hit on.

There are times when I have seen car accidents in Fort Lauderdale where the car gets rear-ended hard by another car going 50 mph and there is no damage whatsoever.

I have also seen car accidents in Fort Lauderdale where it was a T-bone accident in the middle of an intersection in Fort Lauderdale and the damage was incredible. It looked like a murder scene, but there was no significant damage to either party’s bodies and they were able to get their coverage for property damage and just walk away from the accident in no time.

So what should you do when the damages don’t correspond with how you’re feeling? Should you just skip everything altogether? What is the next step?

Taking Photos of the Car Accident in Fort Lauderdale

Car accidents in Fort Lauderdale happen all the time.

But to really prove how bad your car accident was, you need pictures and evidence to show that there was any damage.

Not only does that substantiate your case, but it also helps both insurance companies and car accident lawyers to prove that the damage was significant.

Just claiming that there was damage but not having evidence is hard to prove.

Typically, these are the things that we recommend you take pictures of:

Photos of Your Car

Your damage is the most important factor in your case.

If you don’t have proof or evidence that there was legitimate damage to your case, then it will be very hard for the insurance companies and car accident lawyers to prove that your damage wasn’t just word of mouth.

Photos of The Other Driver’s Car

The other driver’s car is also critical to take pictures of.

Since car accidents are caused by two parties, just having your pictures may not be enough.

It’s not required, but having photos of the other driver’s damage is extremely helpful.

Make sure that the other driver is okay with that and gives you permission to take pictures of their car.

If they don’t, at least try to get pictures of the exterior of the vehicle to show exterior damage and point of contact. Also don’t forget to get pictures of the license plate.

Debris Strewn on the Street

Particles like glass, plastic, and parts are going to be strewn all over the street if there is enough impact and damage on the vehicles.

Only take pictures of debris if it is safe to take pictures. If it is unsafe, don’t put your body in danger just to take pictures of the debris. Although it is helpful, it is nowhere near as important as taking pictures of your own vehicle and the other driver’s vehicle.

Miscellaneous Pictures of the Car Accident

Other than pictures of your own damage, the other driver’s damage, and the debris as a result of the car accident, other helpful pictures are:

  • Skid marks
  • Traffic signs and lights
  • Road conditions
  • Weather conditions

Although these are not necessary, they will greatly help you in aiding your case and showing the insurance companies and lawyers how the accident happened.

Without video evidence, it is hard to imagine and prove that the car accident in Fort Lauderdale happened the way you describe it. Having photos greatly help your car accident lawyers and insurance companies picture the accident and determine how they can help you.
